Pac Man / Tax Man

In a hurried frenzy I scurry about

With a task to finish before I’m turned out.

Gobbling up dots of deductions galore

Chased by a ghost called “Take-away-more.”

As I dart through the maze in search of some form

I’m struck by some income from out of the storm.

“Why didn’t someone tell me about this,

Unearned income is hell for these taxes!”

When out of the blue from ‘round the next bend

Comes a ghost with some rules that I now have to bend.

It has a name so strange it sounds like some bloopers,

I think its called something like PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

With no time to spare, needing only to sign,

I dart to the stairs to avoid some big fine.

I present the return with a smile on my face

So my life can return to a much better pace.

I’m done with these taxes. It’s time for a break.

I’ll head to the house or maybe the lake.

No more late nights or weekends or stress for me.

Because I just won the lottery!!!!!
