Moonlight Sonata – Opus 27

In the darkness hidden

Reaching out with hesitance,

Yet by fear forbidden

To taste the lively dalliance.

Drawn within with sadness and dagger

Searching the sorrow for slightest hope,

A soul now beaten and haggard

Paints the darkness – no light to grope.

Blending into the shadow

Unwilling to test the light

Wishing for some feeling shallow

Consumed by blackened night.
