A Brief Conversation with God



Why is there so much hurt in the world?

So people can experience the depths of love.


You mean- hurt and love are the same?

Of course not. But without valleys, there can be no mountains.


Why do some people refuse love?

Because they hurt so much.


How can we make their hurt go away?

Love them.


Why don't you tell people this?

I just did. But in truth, you cannot yet grasp the enormity of this instant- the wealth of the world around you. Your minds are too small to even enjoy this life fully. You cannot fully understand my Word.


Why not just make our small minds bigger?

Your mind, your soul, could never be big enough. But if you can experience love, you can understand it better. The way you can understand love is experientially, because my ways are so far above yours.


So what do I do next?

Wait... And in the meantime, love.

Staggering

Staggering, a yoke on his back. Waiting, waiting for death, then life. Thorns, blood, smeared vision. Anguish, of a thousand pounds, people Watching, jeering, jabbing. He       falls. A friend, the yoke lifted, momentarily. Clothes tattered, knees bleeding. Needed strength, fopr one more step. Humiliated, to a mere man, since birth. Thirty-two years, gone? No. Ages and peoples, fulfilled.
